1) The single best way to get the opinions of immortals is to send them an email or note. The majority of the imms either do not read the forum or do not post using their immortal persona.

2) What the person questioned in your post was doing is against no rule, if it were the class would be non-existant.

3) You have no way of proving that what he was doing was done for spite.

4) No VIP is going to come out and contradict my ruling 1) because Dioxide wants our intraVIP squabbles settled in a mature fashion on the VIP message board and 2) because it's likely that many of them did not even get a chance to read it and thus have no idea what it contained. If Dioxide disagrees with my ruling he'll tell me on the message board after he reads it.

5) Posts that simply say "You suck" likely would be deleted. Posts like your Havilahd example would not because they directly relate to a rule that at least used to exist and for clarification purposes will be have their posters directed to Sebeok's stance on the situation, as I did with Joshu.
