These discussions often come down to "There are so many ways a nonrager warrior can beef himself up that the fight against a berserker rager is equal if not favoring the nonrager." Unfortunately, most of these comments are by the .01% of the people who play cf that know where every little thing is. "A non-rager can fight a rager easily," they say, "because he can get hasted, enlarged, spiderhanded, flying, shield, aura, stone skin, invoker shields, healing, progged damage dealing gear and anything else you can think of." I would bet the farm that no more than five percent of the players at any given time know where to go get haste for themselves, as in a potion or pill or something a warrior could use. I would be willing to bet that no more than five or ten percent of all cf players could name something that gives aura, let alone where it might be and how to get it, as a warrior. Etc, etc, etc. What's more, part of the point of being a warrior is generally *not* having to spend gobs of time preparing to fight. The strength of the warrior, as many have said, is his ability to fight at the drop of a hat and beat someone to a pulp. I.e. a mage who is not prepped. Warrior bait. The overwhelming majority of players are both unaware/unable to obtain all the various magical enhancements, and are unable given circumstances to even use the few they have. You can't always have quaffed a flying potion, an enlarge spell item, a stone skin item, an aura item, and so forth. And most players really dont have access to a pet muter or pet healer or pet invoker. These discussions always say that "you can get x" but in reality, you can't. You can't just "get" an invoker to shield you. You can't just "get" a muter to haste you. You can't just "get" a healer to give you resists or sanc or healing. A rager, on the other hand, can fight at the drop of a hat with all their powers. (Obviously with the caveat of the rager having mana to use the powers.) What's more, a rager has all his powers very early, especially a berserker. Many of the above mentioned magical enhancements *cannot* be obtained by lower level characters, meaning they *cannot* enhance themselves to fight equally with the hasted, resisted, spellbaning deathblowing warrior, by themselves at least, without a mage to do it for them, or some other lucky circumstance. I'm sure I'll get the usual snort from abernyte and others. They know I'm right but they don't want to admit it. :P
