One would assume that the original battleragers are all dead (those created by the magi)
you see, all these new ones are coming from all over thera and are being -inducted- into the cabal.
Within the cabal they recieve their powers from the gods, not the magi why created the progenitors for the cabal (and the provided the seed of hatred)
