Honestly, you shouldn't be praying at all unless you are marked by a particular
deity. What would the gods necessarily care if the cleric decides to talk to you
or not. Much like empowerment.. be on, be visible, and rp your ass off. In time
the cleric will come to you. Praying just doesn't seem to fit in this situation.

Are you caballed? Get more involved in your cabal.. perhaps talk to potential applicants.
Is there a deity you wish to follow or have been hoping to be marked by.. go and
do that. There's always exploring. There's always hell. Look for those unique
opportunities to roleplay.. or go in a different direction with your character.
