Can't agree more. Though for me it is usually faster... And some important text.:

In Reply to: Rolling stats, Why is it getting harder and harder ?, Immortals Id like to know why character creation on cf is getting beyond a joke (Text inside, would like answers if possible) posted by Hastur on October 15, 2000 at 03:47:58:

I remember Shokai's post... Something like "you can think
on your role while your char is rolling". This doesn't
make sense. I think about my role, write description etc.
for approximately a week before I start rolling a new char.
I assume most people do the same.

I can understand what they are afraid of: they think
(Shokai specifically said that he thinks so) that this will
INCREASE THE NUMBER OF LOW-LEVEL PKILLERS. And this is,
AFAIK, the main reason why the rolling is not changed yet.

I can understand that, but my understanding doesn't alter
the fact that stat rolling sucks. I would recommend rolling
from two (three, four, any number) different hosts :) I think
I have some notion of global justice, and it wouldn't be unjust
according to my moral principles :) Don't get caught, however.
