You wonder why someone developed a 20 socket roller... Why not adress the problem and make characters easier to create. I've run a simple comparison test , 0 char rolled on 2 days (about 40 hours worth) aiming for max -2 stats (excluding charisma). Yet on other muds I can manage about 90 chars in the same ammount of time. I've tried to intro other circles of mudders onto cf, only 2 of them actually have stayed to play the other 15 or so gave up after spending a couple hours and not getting max stats. I'd hate to see what happens to all those new mudders who come along and think that getting a ave of 13.7 for stats being normal. Posts and notes from the immortal staff go on about how grand and advanced cf is, and shall be. Why are you ignoreing what 80% of the worlds mudders are asking for, and what 50% of new mud have. That being a simple character creation process. Now I've recently deleted my last character to start afresh, It was deleted on friday for me. Now it is sunday night and I've been rolling all weekend and still no cigar, I've been aiming for max int wis and con, -3 on str -6 on dex and any charisma. almost 40 hours of rolling and no cigar. alot of mudders dont have time to waste anymore, alot of the older mudders dont have time to waste, Im getting sick of bending everything else around just to get time to spend rolling stats. When I could be playing the game. It is a major problem that I believe cf imms need to take a good look at. It's a fucking simple fix. If you seek character variation, why not just set up defalt stats for all races, then allocate a stat point pool for that specific race to allocate to their stats. Something needs to be done about it... I hope this post might spark the fire to start the change... tho Id assume that it will be laughed at and cf will continue to suffer from ignoreing it.
You wonder why people set up multiple site logins.
You punish people for useing multiple windows for rolling, and for the multi-socket roller... why ?
*** fades into a dream ***
Newbie goes WOW!
I rolled 18 str 13 int 14 wis 12 dex 20 con 8 charisma for a fire giant! And it only took me 40 mins.
*** Fades out of dream ***
(yes this is exagerated, yes there are times when you get *lucky* and get that roll in 5 mins)
You dont want people useing multi socket rollers cause it slows the mud , uses connected etc etc etc.. Well make rolling characters REALLY easy then you will never come across that problem ever again.
Eg how many trains they get at level 1 or whatever.
