I started playing CF as the first mud i ever played about 4/5 years ago. At this time is was very much a newbie and people saw this and occasionaly helped me out with tactics and stuff.

With a semi-enforced break from cf until 6 months ago I lost virtually all my skills. So i'm back at the bottom of the learning curce, yet now it is even steaper and there are far fewer people willing to take a little time out. to improve the skills of those around them.

Now i'm not telling all those elitists to suddenly start holding Lich-Hunting 101 or give out those kill-with-one-hand (TM) type stratergies either.
I'm saying start telling people about the semi-hidden stuff like the fact that alot of the bonus AC spells also give damage reduction or the fact the for a rank 20 a large dagger is far better than a dagger of death.

Also CF is a real mix and match between reality and game reasoning. The way parying dodging etc. is worked out is based heavily in reality. Yet regardless of how much damage you do you opponent, you can't get them to start bleeding or even getting tired unless you use specific skills on them.

So i'll finish this ramble with a challenge to Arcane (since he started this thread) and to all the other 'elitists' out there.

Pick a cabal, and make this the feared cabal.

Simple huh. Except there are a few conditions you may not join this cabal.

Create a character that gloats by detailing the failing of whoever just attacked you or who picks people and follows them around and then tells them what they did wrong and more importantly what they could have done.

Regards
Graeme
