I just popped in again.... we're now the 9th most represented MUD, although that counts utter crap like Everquest and Ultima Online as MUDs instead of "Starcraft with swords".

(The order given is A/S/K/E:)
CF: 32/55/49/62 (N=115)
"World": 47/52/41/59 (N=18049)

Our "Achiever" score is very low. How low? Well, "Final Fantasy MUX" got an Achiever score of 30, and they made the bottom 5 of all MUDs (263 of 267). I think it's safe to say that whatever "Achiever" measures.... we're not interested. Other than that, our numbers look like everyone else's.

So what does that mean? Well, according to the test's author: "Achievement within the game context: Players give themselves game-related goals, and vigorously set out to achieve them. This usually means accumulating and disposing of large quantities of high-value treasure, or cutting a swathe through hordes of mobiles (ie. monsters built in to the virtual world)."

I'm going to be bold and skip to what I think the test results mean: CFers don't care too much about gear. I know I don't, and largely for the reason Shokai gave below: Gear is transient. Skill is forever.

You gotta problem with that? =)
