> Now, obviously I'm not for a moment arguing that we should conduct imm staff decisions by popular majority vote or some such nonsense, but in cases such as these, where the sole question up for debate is "Has he contributed to improving the mud for the players?" it's narrow-minded to exclude feedback to the contrary. The point I think you're ignoring is that this feedback we're excluding is coming after the decision was already made. If you think a particular immortal is doing a good job, by all means, let your voice be heard. I certainly won't ignore it. Just be sure you do that earlier than, say, a month after the person in question leaves or is asked to leave. At this point you're trying to get toothpaste back in the tube. > I'm sure the immortals have faint glimmers of dollar signs in their eyes, or maybe fancy something as ludicrous as an IPO I can concieve of nothing half as ludicrous as that statement. I can't even seriously imagine a day when CF could pay for itself. > (why else would they be passing out five-figure-penalty NDAs?) The point is to make a strong statement that as an immortal you keep our secrets and don't ruin our surprises. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that this has all too often not been the case in the past. To me, being an immortal is a whole lot more fun if I don't need to worry about you knowing about a new project/quest underway before I do.
