Wisdom seems to effect how MUCH you learn from your mistakes. Someone with 18 wis may learn 1-2% from their mistakes. Someone with 23 wis may learn 3-4%. The highest I've personally seen is 4%. Let's get it straight : Int and Wis, both affect your mana gains. Int affects how often you improve, both 'become better' and 'learn from mistakes'. You never, never could get 4% improves. 'You have become better at *** skill.' 'You learn from your mistakes, and your **** skill improves'. In CF int affects how much you actually learn in this case. But even with fire giant (int 15) you can get 3% improves. Just they are far more rare for fire giant then for elf (int 25). The difference in messages is, "You have become better at..." seems to be driven by intelligence, while wisdom takes over under the "You fail to..."... Nope. See above. *shrug* Just some insight, not very well thought out and such. Zepachu ! Please do not talk about things you do not know. PS If you find any incorrect info in my post please fill free to correct me. Just do not start frame war.
You gain +1% in skill in question. Plane and simple.
In base ROM such improves were 1d3.
