> The thing I see happening if an invoker is given the choice of 3 elemental paths with higher and further spells...is only 3 every being used due to the nature of the game, I forsee ice, fire and lightning...or maybe water, with a rare invoker going earth or air. Not that this is a bad thing paticularly, but look at transmuters...how often do you see a water major/utlity minor? Shokai...I don't know if you typed something other than what you were thinking, but this doesn't make sense to me. You say in one sentence "I forsee ice, fire, and lightning...or maybe water..." and then support it with "...how often do you see a water major...?" *scratches his temple* You don't see a lot of water majors(save sylvan + masters) because there aren't a lot of water "areas". I don't see why people wouldn't choose earth or air...earth and air are all around us so it wouldn't be a matter of their spells not being useful the majority of the time as is the case with water majors. Quicksand is used A LOT against ragers so I can see a master taking earth almost instantly...quicksand along with pebble to boulder alone make it worth it. Air...well...buffet is nice...you don't see a lot of vortexes(though I can think of several instances where there being a vortex would just be a bitch. It would need the "coolest" spells I think for people to walk the path of air. I see a lot of cool things happening with a water invoker, even while on land. Here's an echo I'm seeing... "XXX crouches down, waving his hands over the ground. He rises bringing his hands up in an arc calling forth water spout at your feet from an aquifer sending you sprawling." There are water aquifers in a lot of places(I'm no geography major) and the water invoker might even be able to make use of a magical spring or city fountain. I've wanted to play an invoker for a while, but I hate the practicing...if I only had to take care of three paths I'd roll one up in a heartbeat.
