Thief Role <br> <br>Background <br> <br>Thief was born to a poor human family in Galadon. The wealth of the rich merchants around him while his family starved made him despise the wealthy. The weakness and helplessness of the poor disgusted him too. He vowed that he would never be poor. But to be rich, he would become the thing he hated. Such a dilemma. He would have to become more rich than the richest of them all. Then he would show them! <br> <br>Hunger drove him to take alms and charity from the goodly folk of the city. He hated that he had to beg for help from them. That they possessed money and clothing and freely gave it away was a stupid notion to the thief. He would never do that. If he had money and items, he would keep them or sell them. <br> <br>One day, the Empire was in Galadon asking for people to take the bloodoath and become citizens. His parents refused and were "eliminated" by the shadow sect. The tribunal of law decided that the case did not warrant any attention, and the killers went free. Thief did not feel any particular loyalty to his parents, but what does that say about a person when they don't care that their parents have been murdered? <br> <br>As if it weren't enough, a crafty necromancer had the gall to turn his parents into ZOMBIES! Well then a ranger killed the necro and turned his zombie parents into steaks and ate them! Such an injustice could not possibly go unnoticed! (There were some shapeshifters involved here as well, but I can't remember how.) <br> <br>It was a humiliating defeat, in any case.
