A Junction on the Main Pier 
  The long dock stretches out east and west into the Dragon Sea.  North and 
south of you, smaller docks jut out into the dark waters.  The dock appears 
to be made of solid wood reinforced with cast iron stays.  A stream of people, 
notably from all walks of life, move up and down this dock at a steady pace.  
In a large square along the edges of this part of the dock, you see silver 
tiles have been inlaid in the wood.

The Entrance to the Docks of Hamsah Mu'tazz 
  Beneath your feet the ground of Hamsah Mu'tazz becomes the wood and iron 
of a large dock.  To the west, the Sultan's City looms, its palace stretching 
out into the sky.  To the east, it's very nearly a different world.  A myriad 
of smells, noises and people greet you, not all of which can be noted as 
pleasant.  On one breeze freshly cooked meat drifts under your nose, on another 
the dead fish smell of the ocean reaches you.  Sailors, merchants, travelers 
and dockworkers mingle with those that seem to make their living here on these 
docks.  A small piece of parchment has been tacked up on one of the pilings 
here.

boats are gathered to the north where they are anchored outside of the ocean
currents.  The pier leads west into the jumbled mass of stone and clay and wood
that has grown from the rocky coast to become the rich desert city of Hamsah
Mu'tazz.

the wooden piles, the boats secured to the adjoining docks bobbing with the
tide.  To the west the pier leads up towards dry land.  The dock extends 
farther into the churning sea to the east.
