When I first started playing, ages ago, I was told by an IMP (I would say Jullias, but not sure) that if I leave the gear for significant amount of time (over an hour) in the open (not in a container), I can later pick it up on my alt. That would not really be a gear transfer as there are chances for mud crash/reboot, someone else picking up the gear, etc.


In light of the above, I got this:

You say 'There is a HUGE time gap'

An Immortal says 'It doesn't matter if it's been a week irl' 

***So, for 1 week I can’t go to the same place my other char has been cause if I pick up anything, it will be considered cheating. Is this really true?***

An Immortal says 'Gear can't go from one char to another'

You say 'I did not kill anything or drop anything'

You say 'It was there'

You say 'It was lying there'

An Immortal says 'You still had ooc knowledge that gear was there.'

You say 'I have OOC knowledge of most things, so I can't use this knowledge on my other chars?'

An Immortal says 'Especially not when it comes to gear, no'

An Immortal says 'The penalty is a slay and purge on both characters and you can go on your way and not do it again ok?'

You say 'Not right'

You say 'All I am saying is that it’s not right. I did not transfer anything'

You say 'I saw it there and left it.'

An Immortal says 'Yes and I'm telling you that is against the rules.  I don't have time to sit and argue this, you should consider it a lesson learned.'


All I got after the slay was this help file # 58 and then no IMM for further inquiry.

I would like to know if the above statement still holds true? Was it fair that I was slayed for cheating? Because from where I am standing, I did not do anything wrong.
