If I am wrong may Narlock beat me with a length of
garden hose. I havent interacted with Narlock in
any way but with all the complainst I have heard and this post it really isnt that hard to figure out what he wants from an applicant. ( Note: This is my view and may not neccessarily be endorsed by Narlock.) He heaven forbid is trying to get you to think .. yes think. Imagine a leader wanting you to think gone are the days where your could say fire is hot ice is cold I know all there is about Magic. You need to think, due to this there will be no wrong or right answer as long as you can explain the logic behind why you think your magic works in a certain way. Different guilds different races/backgrounds are going to result in different approaches to an ends even if the results are similar. I tried to show some side of this with the Magic/Nature side of things got people to think
why ? How ? Where are this effects shown ? etc
The faerie fog question
"It actually a series of purple elephants I reduce using my magic which then due to there purpleness cumulate around human bodies."
Is this the right answer .. hell yes
Is it going to be any good if you can show the phenomenon in this answer to be true .. hell yes
Is it any good if i say "just cause" .. hell no
Where would be a good starting place to prove this ..
me personally I would try find a purple elephant I could show to the leader and that sufficient concentrations of purpleness stick to the human body.
Is this enough .. hell no
Why ? .. well you need to explain what happens when the spell expires. Where do all those elephants go.
Can I use this in an interview .. hell no, I have copyright on it.
I guess the point I am trying to get at is develop theories on your Magics, hell develop several of them. If you knew all the answers you would not need the tower would you, mainly because they would all come to you. So provide several theories on a spell, why each is plausable, take not on how "other players" say there magics work, understand why. You are ment to be students so you study in the Tower to understand you magics more fully look through past works, this way you can eliminate some of the theories.
THERE ARE NO HARD AND FAST ANSWERS NARLOCK'S THEORIES ARE RIGHT YOURS MAY BE TOTALLY DIFFFERENT YET STILL CORRECT. BUT YOU MUST "THINK" AND BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN WHY.
