disarm through str loss, usually takes off the offhand sword. And you can flurry with a sword in your main hand(may be wrong, but I think you only hit once...or a drastically lowered amount of times)
Disarm through disarm, however, leaves you with a sword in your offhand and nothing in your main hand...and no specs can be done from the offhand.
