Grak saying an imm referred to him and Sevrac as a perma group concerns me. I am playing an imperial currently and have logged aroung 100 hours the last few weeks and have grouped with both of them, only once at the same time. Neither has been around that much and usually not at the same time and not at predicatable times. Is it getting to the point you should not group with people more than once even if you are in the same cabal? Should I be trying to group my imperial with ragers and scarabs to rank to cut down on the time i group with imperials ( which is against the rules of some sects now.) The situation i usually see, especially once passing thirty and if in a cabal, is there are only a few people you can feasibly group with to stay within the confines of your role. Since people tend to have habitual times they play, it only makes sense you will group with the same people frequently. If i log on and see two people i have travelled with before and i wish to learn, damn right im gonna ask them because i know the reponse will probably be yes instead of waiting a few hours to see if someone else shows. I personnally don't think a group of people who know each other joing the same cabal and plating around the same time is that big a deal. It is much preferable to people in different cabals or playing independent characters sharing info with people ooc they would never be able to ic. Say you have a member of another cabal telling his friends where certain members are or what not, especially if using a char they dont particuarlly care about. In the same cabal at least you would be sharing info you would be anyway and pursuing similar goals. I remember reading a post from Agathocles talking about his child being born and Uncle Tureanthean and Uncle Kah coming to visit. I personally have no problem with this. They were friends who had an idea (Empire) and worked together to get it implemented. I'm sure they enjoyed the experience more The nature of joining a cabal itself should lessen the effects of permagrouping because of the constraints placed on a char by the cabal. The ones to worry about are the groups of three non caballed chars who are never apart and really do nothing for anyone besides kill whoever they see. I think the reason the Erauj Austa Nakaluka combo has gotten so much attention is becuase Erauj posted all that shit. Otherwise, not that big a deal. I don't think that is as bad as when the ragers were still powerfull around the 40s and hero ranks, if the didnt have the head you would see about two of them, head is recovered and the whole gang shows up. I forgot what my point was, think ill stop now.
because they were doing things with friends. I think there are some people now who would scream they should be banned because they are using ooc knowledge to affect the game.
