I can see that many of you are jumping the gun and not even bothering to see the facts here. I specifically told my villagers to not talk to the applicants unless they want to. The requirements are in place just to keep those who aren't willing to go through piles of shit out of the way. I'm swamped by tells every day. This keeps it down. The honest truth of the matter, if you don't tell me your skills, I won't know. Five villagers is easy to come by. They just have to know your name and be able to tell me of your abilities and thoughts. Takes ten minutes tops. Don't like it, don't become a rager.
