Obviously pH is subject to change over time and would need to be monitored daily. <br> <br>The growth stages before the vegetative stage will only require water, no nutrients. More detailed info is in the website above. As for the vegetative stage I would use Hoagland's solution, which you would have to make up with the proper chemicals, i think this may be a little hard to do at home without laboratory equipment. <br> <br>Any solution you use will need to contain the Macronutrients: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sulfur, Calcium, Magnesium. <br> <br>As well as trace samples of the micronutrients: Iron, Chlorine, Manganese, Boron, Zinc, Copper, Nickel and Molybdenum. <br> <br>Its worth reading up on common mineral deficiencies in plants and how they manifest themselves in the plant. <br> <br>[www.bio.net] <br> <br>If you wanted to use Hoaglands and had access to the initial chemicals the quantities of chemicals in solution are stated in the link above. You would want the first recipe plus micronutrients. If you are interested in this recipe (and can get access to the chemicals) let me know and i'll do the calculations of the various chemicals by weight for the litre mix so you can measure them out on a scale. <br> <br>If this isn't a possibility you might be able to contact a lab supplier or something to get the fertilizer mix. <br> <br>If that is out of the question you would have to get a premixed solution or something from a gardening shop.
