I was thinking that a gnome would make a pretty good conjurer with all thier extra hitpoints. Looking at the graveyard, it seems that there are very few gnome conjies, and even less heros of the type. Are there a lot of inherant drawbacks to this combination? Is it just because of the neutrality?

I understand that having the same morality is a bonus, but is it such a big deal that gnomes will have a really hard time against thier devil/angle or demon/archon?
