Retrieving from the village

I would love answers to this, because I always have a huge amount of trouble retrieving from battle, especially when they have means of preventing you from fleeing(cutoff, parting block, stsf etc).

Lets assume that you can't just call in allies, or have a lowbie weaken it.

I play mages pretty much exclusively. How would you retrieve vs 2+ ragers at midranks, and at hero? Is there a better answer than getting a/b/s/stone/desensitize and hoping they dont have a scout, or spending 200 gold trying to heal through your huge protections over and over at the healer, after getting lucky fleeing early?

Depends very much on your build

Village is really dangerous to retrieve from.

its not hard to pull the fight into the ruins unless you are a village steam roller, in which case just kill them at the giant (n/t)

The thing about retrieving...

Yep :)

Total opposite experience. From both fighting, and being, a villager. It was scary for me from one, and even moreso from 2-3 of them. NT

This. The best thing about them sitting at the destructor is you are free to go anywhere/do anything uninterrupted (n/t)
