A Trail Through the Hills
  The wide cobblestone pathway stretches out to the north and south, a
perfectly straight line that slopes with an incline to the north.  It
gives way to the north before a glowing stone archway standing beneath
several sheer structures.  On either side of the pathway, columns and
pillars of rock have been built, forming a fence of sorts to keep
travelers from going astray through the rugged hills beyond.  The
stones beneath your feet seem to have been brought in from all over
Thera; granite, limestone, obsidian, and red sandstone are a few of
the varieties mingled with more common types.

  You are standing beneath a soaring stone archway over the entrance to a
small plaza of sorts.  The arch appears to be all stone, crafted
seamlessly into one piece by magic.  An assortment of mystical runes are
engraved over its entire south-facing surface; as you examine them they
shimmer briefly in the light.  A single cerulean globe of energy hangs
suspended in the air at the center, casting a soft light over the area.
To the north a simple pathway leads around a small windowless building in
the center of this compound.  The trail to the south leads straight back
through the hills and into the plains.

An Underground Kitchen
  Though underground and nestled within a cave of dirt, this kitchen seems
surprisingly spotless.  A wide counter along the southern part of the
cave separates the kitchen from a cavernous dining room.  The south wall
of the kitchen is taken up by a huge fireplace, oven and roasting center.
A spit turns constantly over glowing red coals, and you can see, strangely,
tiny fire elementals dancing throughout the oven and coals.  A wispy smoke
mephit hovers above the apparatus, pulling in any smoke released from the
various fires.  A simple pantry lines the east wall, tucked in behind the
counter.  You can see it is filled to the brim with various supplies.
Clearly, the denizens of this place are extremely well-fed and generally
want for nothing.  Large preparation tables have been set up in the center
of the kitchen for the servants to ready the various foods for the mages
and those they entertain.

The Consortium Pathway
  You are standing on a wide, paved path that wraps around a small,
windowless building just to the north of you.  The edges of the path are
lined with perfectly manicured and sculpted shrubs, giving the entire area
a serene atmosphere.  A single cerulean globe of energy hangs suspended
in the air above the center of the road, casting a soft light throughout
the area.  A stone archway leads to a well-trod path in the foothills south
of you, while the paved path you currently stand on leads east and west,
toward what appear to be open forums of some sort.  A nearly translucent
spiral stairway floats unsupported in the air here, leading up into an
enigmatic gray magical void above you, and down into what seems to be a
small enclave dug into the ground.

insect that might dislodge itself.  The ground beneath your feet is firmly
packed and well-worn.  The scent of freshly baked bread and roasting meat
drifts by from the north, and east and west seem to lead to some sort of
living quarters for the mages.  A strange spiral staircase seemingly hung
on thin air leads up and out of this earthen tunnel.

A Chaos Mage's Alcove
  This strange room is large, almost cavernous, with walls placed at
inexplicable angles.  It forms neither a square nor any other shape that is
commonly known.  Curtains of every different color have been hung to segment
this area, and beds have been placed wherever they fit, or seemingly
wherever the occupant wanted them.  Some of the curtained alcoves are
obviously frequently used, most likely by the chaos mage apprentices that
study here, as they contain decorations and personal belongings.  The rest
of the segmented off alcoves are for travelers and guests that pass through
the Consortium to learn of chaos.  The decorations on the walls are
interesting, paintings that seem to shift constantly, splashes of color,
knick-knacks that seem out of place.  A few rugs have been thrown haphazardly
over the earthen floor, and balls of different colored lights throw patches
of bright illumination at odd angles throughout.

live here, others are austere and plain, clearly left for visitors.  The
alcoves each have a dresser and a small desk on either side of the bed.
The room itself is dug from the earth, its walls perfectly sheer and flat,
held together by some magical force of energy.  The floor is worn dirt,
though at the foot of each bed a simple woven rug has been placed for
comfort.  Small globes of cerulean light hover over each bed; they
seem to be curiously magical constructs that flicker on and off at the
denizen's discretion.  Everything of this room tells you that this is
where the mages that study Order rest.

A Dining Hall
  This dining hall has been created from what almost looks to be a cavern
beneath the hillside the Eldritch Consortium stands upon.  It is wide and
mostly filled with a huge mahogany dining table.  It seems as though this
room and table could seat more than fifty people.  While the population
of the Consortium seems to be somewhat less than that, the room is set up
for entertaining travelers, adventurers and people who generally are in
power.  The smooth, earthen walls of this room are decorated with magical
depictions, diagrams and other various magical treasures and charms.
Mostly, they seem to be simply for decoration.  An long counter lines the
north of this room, giving way to an open kitchen.  To the south, you note
a simple earthen hallway.

The Consortium Pathway
  You are standing on a wide, paved path that wraps around a small,
windowless building just to the north of you.  The edges of the path are
lined with perfectly manicured and sculpted shrubs, giving the entire area
a serene atmosphere.  A single cerulean globe of energy hangs suspended
in the air above the center of the road, casting a soft light throughout
the area.  A stone archway leads to a well-trod path in the foothills south
of you, while the paved path you currently stand on leads east and west,
toward what appear to be open forums of some sort.  A nearly translucent
spiral stairway floats unsupported in the air here, leading up into an
enigmatic gray magical void above you, and down into what seems to be a
small enclave dug into the ground.

The Consortium Pathway

edges blending with a small paved forum to the south and west of you.  The
edges of the path are lined with perfectly manicured and sculpted shrubs,
with several openings in the planters allowing you to go south or west into
the forum.  A single cerulean globe of energy hangs suspended in the air
above the center of the road, casting a soft light throughout the area.
You can see a podium standing due southwest of you, with rows of pews
surrounding it.  You can see a similar forum in the distance to the east.

  This small forum is set up almost as a balcony, jutting off the side of
one of the hills.  To the north and west a narrow railing blocks the way
over the edge and down onto the steep forested slopes.  Several rows of
pews are set up here, in a curving arch that faces a podium set up to the
south.  One of the shimmering cerulean globes floats above the pews, shedding
a soft light over the area.  The paved forum connects with a bend in the
pathway around the Consortium to the east of here.

(Invis) (Ghostly) A dark-skinned man known as Ssriel Llibani emanates shadow and darkness.
