  This store seems strangely unused.  A fine layer of dust clings to the scroll
racks and shelves that occupy much of the space in the cramped shop.  A wide
desk nearest the northern wall provides ample space for the scribing of
written works, though the inkwells have run dry, and the quills are missing.
The shop is also unlit aside from stray sunlight through the windows facing
Jade Court, though a pair of candles sit unused at the top of the main desk.
A cool breeze blows in from outside, a bit colder than expected given the
weather.

  This is the main road through the commercial portion of the city, running
north and south.  It is a narrow street and the uneven cobblestones are
battered and bruised, but otherwise clean.  The houses sit almost on the
street, but there is a narrow sidewalk to allow pedestrian traffic some
level of safety.  On the curb of the sidewalk is a tall post with a lantern
hanging from it.  To the north you can see a turn in the road, but to the
south it continues for quite some distance.  People and other creatures
crowd the streets, all looking to purchase the goods which are for sale
here.  To the west is a black house with dark green shutters and to the east
you can see an odd looking building that doesn't appear to have any color to
it whatsoever.

whIvy's Greenhouse
  This unusual glass-ceilinged building is a veritable maze of tangled
shrubs and briars.  Even with the transparent architecture above, the
lighting seems insufficient to explain the verdant chaos here, let alone
the question of how enough water is brought in so far from the Nanthor.
It seems to be completely unfurnished other than the unusual flora, and
it is not clear where exactly business is meant to be conducted.  The
heady perfume of flowers simply oozes over the plants, filling the senses
with a potent but pleasant aroma.

to the north it extends although it is difficult to see where with all the
congestion blocking it.  To the west is a clean looking blue house and to
the east is a dark brown building with the smell of cooking food wafting
out of it.

and there is no garbage or any debris in the street.  Broad sidewalks
line the edge of the road, each with enough room for three horses to
ride side by side.  On the curbs of each of the sidewalks is a tall
post with a lantern hanging from it.  It continues north toward the
Town Square, and south to the South Gate.  To the east, the industrial
portion of Bloodstone Lane slinks off with evidence of much hard labor
showing on the street, and to the west, the commercial part of the street
extends outward from the intersection.

Upon the Scarlet Carpet
  This place serves as the entrance to the Udgaardian temple, and its most
notable feature is the strip of scarlet carpet which runs north to south.
Though marred by countless bootprints, the deeply dyed carpet maintains
its stark contrast with the harsh black stone of the temple's floor and
walls.  High above, the stone ceiling of the temple rises to its pinnacle
here and to the north, creating a certain majesty a smaller building could
not.  To the south, an archway leads back to Udgaard's center, beneath a
pair of banners marked with Udgaard Loke's seal.

  The black stone of the Udgaardian Temple vaults to its apex here, the
polished slabs supported by thick pine beams.  The hexagonal altar of the
Afskyelige child-priests dominates the northern wall as if to challenge
anyone to look elsewhere but at that black monolith.  Each of its surfaces
is chased with engravings of their unholy scriptures, excepting the top which
is smooth but concave, leading down to a small hole which acts as a drain.
At the foot of the altar, thin strips of scarlet carpet skirt a small pit
for sacrifices to run southwards, towards the temple's exit.  To the east
and west, the smooth stone of the temple stretches onwards.

The Hall of Loyalty
  The walls of this corner of the Udgaardian temple have been carved with
harsh reminders of the price of treachery within the lands of Udgaard Loke.
To either side of the northern archway are placards marked "For Deception To
The Master" and "For Cowardice in Battle", each beneath elaborate carvings
depicting each concept.  Oddly incongruous in this place of worship are the
black banners of Udgaard Loke, staked to the eastern wall with iron nails as
a sign that his domain extends all through his lands, even in this place of
worship.  To the west, an altar rises from its dais, and to the south the
temple continues.
