pedestal stands in the far corner with a scroll spread out on its surface,
and a pair of candles burning next to it.  From either side of the pedestal,
glass cases mounted on a gray stone base line the walls, with several items
spread out in the glass case for viewing.  This is one of the only rooms in
the Spire that you have seen with windows, though when you look out of them
you see nothing but flowing gray clouds all around.

The Hall of the Vindicator
  This simple triangular room is without much in the way of decoration.  A
pedestal stands in the far corner with a scroll spread out on its surface,
and a pair of candles burning next to it.  From either side of the pedestal,
glass cases mounted on a gray stone base line the walls, with several items
spread out in the glass case for viewing.  This is one of the only rooms in
the Spire that you have seen with windows, though when you look out of them
you see nothing but flowing gray clouds all around.

The Altar of the Blood Tribunal
  The stairway ends at the peak of the Spire, perhaps thirty feet below the
huge stained glass window at the top.  The sunlight filtering through the
glass bathes the room in a rainbow of multi-colored light, giving it a very
serene appearance.  Against the flat northern wall stands the Altar of the
Blood Tribunal, reflecting the light back at you.  On the wall to either
side of the altar are elaborate carvings in the stone, lined with silver
and gold.  Ornate archways lie to the east and west, leading into small
alcoves in the corners of the Spire, while the twisting stairway leads
downward, toward the base of the Spire.
