Except that in every single one of these cases, that's 5+ rounds of lag free, no big damage.

The only difference between nerve vs. kot/kans is that you can shift to a different tactic sooner, but you sacrifice the ability to nail str/dex at the same time, or have it be reliable.

nerve with edge = two nerves ish per two rounds - -6 to minus 8 of a single stat, if they're lucky.
kot/kans with no egde, is -8+ to BOTH stats, reliably, with no luck involved.

The only time they stack up nerves like that and it becomes a problem is when you should have left that fight a while back but stuck around for some ungodly reason.

I'm inclined to agree

(vಠ_ಠ)> AngryFatKid 292 April 24, 2014 10:34AM

Easy fix. Get rid of edges. The game isn't remotely close to balanced. (n/t)

funnyone 181 April 24, 2014 04:17AM

Better get rid of sleeks, liches and mummies, explore areas, and all potions+pills while you're at it. Or just start your own sarcastaball league and leave CF as it is. (n/t)

Frosty 199 April 24, 2014 04:32AM

Yes, typical of those on this site. Just go way overboard with over the top, random shit. (n/t)

funnyone 199 April 24, 2014 04:35AM

Those are both great movies. I actually own over the top, and I SHOULD own overboard. (n/t)

Frosty 244 April 24, 2014 04:42AM

Over the top? Sylvester stallon trying to win an arm wrestling contest? You have that on VHS? (n/t)

funnyone 203 April 24, 2014 07:00AM

Turn your hat around and switch your grip kiddies. NT

Sam 186 April 24, 2014 04:51AM

Wasnt this just brought up? You could've been kot/kan in the same time for -20/20. And he got lucky and didn't hit any -con (n/t)

TJHuron 212 April 24, 2014 03:54AM

True, but that is a must flee moment. -4 strength every time nerve is hit? Isn't nerve one round lag? 1.5 round lag, and with the edge it's less? (n/t)

funnyone 177 April 24, 2014 04:16AM

Personally, I'd rather an assassin try to nerve me to death instead of doing something else

TJHuron 222 April 24, 2014 05:06AM

It's not a big deal.

Death_Claw 233 April 24, 2014 04:27AM

It is a big deal...that bullshit stacks -mv affects

Nurok 276 April 24, 2014 04:31AM

If you get pwn'd by nerve it's because...

Death_Claw 226 April 24, 2014 09:52AM

Since when does it have a -mv affect?

TJHuron 230 April 24, 2014 04:57AM

Check log board- since always I guess... (n/t)

Nurok 209 April 24, 2014 05:42AM

Ok, you're right. But it's small. Log inside

TJHuron 229 April 24, 2014 05:51AM

So does energy drain (n/t)

Elystan 182 April 24, 2014 04:34AM

WTF does energy drain have to do with a single command done by an assassin? (n/t)

funnyone 203 April 24, 2014 04:42AM

Comparing a 1 round move to a 1 round move (n/t)

Elystan 223 April 24, 2014 04:47AM

It's also a "single command." (n/t)

Frosty 184 April 24, 2014 04:49AM

Damn, dude. It's not like you can up the effectiveness of energy drain by getting an edge. The edge takes away maladicts, and movement points. Energy drain is not relevant to this conversation. Single command or not. (n/t)

funnyone 194 April 24, 2014 07:47AM

I don't see why you're complaining about a move that has a chance to deduct 20% mvs when edged while ignoring one that deducts 50% of remaning mv without being edged?

Elystan 178 April 24, 2014 08:35AM

It doesn't take more than 50% off of moves and mana, so your point is nonexistent. Keep posting random crap. You're the genius that brought up energy drain when the OP posted something about nerve. ITS NOT THE SAME! (n/t)

funnyone 195 April 24, 2014 08:59AM

Try again. (n/t)

Frosty 239 April 24, 2014 09:11AM

I don't think it's ridiculous to compare a 1 round move which saps mvs to a 1 round move which saps mvs (n/t)

Elystan 203 April 24, 2014 09:42AM

Agreed. Obviously ;) (n/t)

Frosty 187 April 24, 2014 10:16AM

Yeah, energy drain also cuts mana in half.

Elystan 202 April 24, 2014 09:03AM

According to your logic it is more powerful, and more OP, than edged nerve because you don't need to edge energy drain to make it sap moves. (n/t)

Frosty 214 April 24, 2014 08:18AM

FYI: Nerve is not one round of lag. Energy drain can be communed each round, nerve is not a commune, and cannot be done each round. Please, post more about the similarities. Please prove more of a nonexistent point you're trying to make. (n/t)

funnyone 182 April 24, 2014 09:00AM

Dude, you just disproved the point you were trying to make about edged nerve. :) (n/t)

Frosty 182 April 24, 2014 09:04AM

I didn't even bring up energy drain. WHO THE FUCK CARES ABOUT ENERGY DRAIN? When you post something, do you pat yourself on the back and think you made a point? 'by my logic' I said they were different. God damn some of you. (n/t)

funnyone 194 April 24, 2014 08:58AM

It's funny how much of your complaints describe yourself. You really are the funnyone. (n/t)

Frosty 189 April 24, 2014 09:02AM

Jesus tap dancing christ dude. Get a fucking clue. (n/t)

Frosty 175 April 24, 2014 04:43AM

And while we're here, necro flavour chill touch can do up to -3 str per round, with damge going up to big devastates

Elystan 208 April 24, 2014 04:37AM

True, but it's a more subtle way to take away strength quickly. I've seen it strike at dex, so it's pretty nasty with the edge. (n/t)

funnyone 182 April 24, 2014 04:30AM

Pluses and minuses.

SomeOneSpecial 282 April 24, 2014 02:25AM

Compared to what, wither? (n/t)

Elystan 188 April 23, 2014 10:31PM

Wither means little if your saves are good

daurwyn(VIP) 247 April 24, 2014 05:17AM

I was generally toting -50 to -80 svs on Ogrot and regularly got -10 and -15 str withers

Elystan 212 April 24, 2014 08:44AM

You should probably be doing something other than complaining while he is jabbing at your nerves. NT

Sam 172 April 23, 2014 07:52PM

Why does nerve hit for -con?

shaapa 241 April 23, 2014 07:21PM

Con malediction seems to hurt hide deflection for forms with it.~

ibuki 210 April 23, 2014 08:24PM

Assassins really needed a maledicting jab. (n/t)
