I lost all my Ghrim logs, so most of the stuff is para-phrased/hearsay.

Main points:

It is foretold that the next Chieftain of the Barbarian Tribe will arrive on the tail of a fiery constellation. This leader will not be tested by War. This one will not bear scars from skirmishes or have left stains of crimson upon the village ground. According to this prophecy, the next village leader will be but a babe, untested, confused and unmolested by War. This child will bear the Mark of the Beast, the Serpent or the Spider, unaware of such a destiny. Twin warders will walk this one through the journey. One will serve as a protector, the other as the babe’s possible doom. It is said the village will prosper greatly beneath such a leadership. For when this leader comes of age, the greatest Conquest will take place. A most treacherous War will occur and the Village of Battle will spearhead this Victory!

So in essence, the plan was always for a lowbie to be named Commander. Zrakkna was the Evil "warder" and Erkad the Good "warder". Both deleted literally a week after the quest started.

Doban, I, and I think one other? person were the lowbies chosen to perhaps lead the cabal. Thror said he picked me because I was the most hands on with my RP (I was in an RP groove at that time of the character, since literally his whole life had been interacting with mobs/IMMs/players) and because I had all the Fort chars at the time wanting to help me out (since they had let the last living member of my clan be taken...something that led me to the village).

Ghrimriddor Frosthammer the Soldier, the Clanless Wanderer, Serpent-Marked was my title.

I think Flaaayin was the "Jackal" in this situation.

Thror also brought in Empire because of Hralpelk and a few others into the quest.

After I uninducted myself, I think that got a lot of the balls back rolling (the quest has mostly stagnated after I got named Commander for about 3 months), and I got one more "quest" interaction but I con-died before I could see it through.
