a wasting disease is a static -con that doesn't increase, it also makes you more susceptible to any further diseases (such as plague, scourge etc).

an actual rot is has a check every tick to increase the -con. An actual rot + malice is essentially a death sentence, which is what I thought I got on you, but not quite!
