south; you find yourself just north of a large, well-guarded desert city.
Through the fence to the south you can make out the tops of flowering trees
and the roofs of splendid manor homes.  The clearing between wilderness and 
civilization leads east and west of here.  Not far to the west you can make 
out road leading north out of the city.  Merchants and travelers come and 
go through the towered gate at the start of the road.
