  The old crossroads lies northeast of the city of Galadon, traveled often
by the local people.  Surrounded by farmland, dirt trails extend off in all
directions, even through the fields.  An old road leads east across the
plains and farms, a trail to Voralian City the maps say.  The trail north and
south works its way around the edge of the vast city of Galadon, skirting
along its border.  The road west enters the city of Galadon, through the
northeastern gate carved into the great battlement wall.

Northeast Tower
  Each of the four battlement towers, one found in each corner of the city,
employs classic fortification architecture.  Thick grey stone makes up the
walls and stands unyielding to any threat that faces the city.  Thin windows
provide someone on the inside of the tower a decent vantage point, but do
not allow large targets for would-be intruders to enter through.  There are
no flat surfaces on the walls, as the tower is cylindrical.  A spiral
staircase ascends to the top of the tower for the best vantage point.

the half wall to the north.

  Farmland fills the countryside on both sides of the North Galadon Road.
All kinds of fields and orchards can be seen, some looking more promising
than others. There are a good number of people on the road, and most don't
seem to be in any hurry.  Most of the travelers on the North Road appear
to be peasants or travelers, with the occasional merchant or two.  You
squint your eyes and believe you can see the outline of the great city
walls. Off in the distance you can see animals grazing in the fields.  The
North Galadon Road continues to the north and south.

High Road
  Made of perfectly leveled white blocks the High Road cuts Galadon in half
from north to south, its only break being the city park.  Small lanterns hang
on brass hooks at either edge of the street with a few large maple trees
casting shade for the citizens.  The road continues north to the city gate and
further south towards the Park Road.  On the west side of the avenue there is
a fine house, more than likely inhabited by the upper class of Galadon, and to
the east the entrance of the Galadonian Gazette can be seen.

sHigh Road
  Large houses of Galadon's upper class line this section of the High Road.  At
either edge of the perfectly leveled white blocks are brass supports that hold
small lanterns that keep the city lit at all hours.  Popping up at uneven
intervals and almost without rhyme or reason are maple trees of varied sizes,
their leaves creating patches of shade.  The road continues south towards the
city park or further north towards the gate.

sHigh Road
  Evenly spaced along either edge of the street are brass supports that hold
small lanterns used to keep Galadon lit even when the sun goes down.  Standing
tall and bright to the west is the headquarters of the cityguard, a near 
constant flow of bodies in uniform entering or leaving.  A narrow alley cuts 
east between some of the large homes with well-dressed men and women leaving 
it carrying bags of goods.  The High Road is built of perfectly level white 
blocks and continues to the north and south towards the city park.

High Road
  The surface of the High Road is perfectly leveled, each of the white stone
blocks a flawless match with the ones next to it.  At even intervals along
either edge of the street there are large brass supports that bear lanterns
used to help keep Galadon illuminated.  Up a set of four wide steps, the 
entrance of the City Hall awaits.  The Copper Gargoyle, Galadon's bank, lies
to the west and two large statues that are the namesake of the establishment
stare down at the street.  The Park Road lies to the south and the High Road
continues further north towards the gate.

majority of the Park Road.  Along the edge of the gravel, there is a small 
transition into the white blocks that form the High Road as it leads to the 
north gate.  A tall metal fence sits to the south, separating the large grassy
expanse from the rest of Galadon.  The road continues to the west and east 
where an open gate grants entrance into the park.

Park Road
  A large metal fence looms along the southern edge of the road as it leads near
the edge of the city park.  The Park Road itself is made primarily of hard 
dirt but it has a trail of white crushed gravel around the outer edge for the 
citizens who would prefer to avoid mud.  Massive gargoyle statues can be seen 
near the doorway in the north, leading into the Copper Gargoyle.  The road 
leads further to the west and also to the east, towards the High Road and the 
north entrance into the park.

Park Road
  In an attempt to preserve a sense of dwelling in nature within the confines of
the city, the Park Road is primarily comprised of hard-packed dirt.  Along its
outer rim there is a pathway of crushed white gravel for the citizen who would
prefer to keep mud off their boots.  The entrance of a large mansion lies to
the north a tall wooden fence prevents you from looking into its yard.  To
the east and south the road follows the fence that surrounds the park.

Park Road
  The Park Road is formed of packed dirt with a wide band of crushed white 
gravel at its edge, allowing a path for the citizens who would prefer to stay
out of the mud.  It follows the tall metal fencing that surrounds the park in
both the north and south.  The sounds of children at play and the song of 
birds can be heard in the air.  There is a transition along the western edge 
of the gravel ring as it changes from white to gray and becomes the Holy Road.

wHoly Road
  Rising along the northern edge of the Holy Road is a large and elaborate fence
formed of polished brass.  Beyond the barricade there is a faint mist and the
familiar aroma of a graveyard.  The street itself is composed of bits of
crushed gravel, bits of it a light gray and others a darker hue.  Although
narrower than some of the other avenues through the city, the Holy Road is
well-maintained with a mostly smooth surface that is free of any weed or
shrub growths.

wHoly Road
  Bits of crushed gravel form the Holy Road that runs across the northern half
of the city.  The small pieces are two shades of gray, one light and one dark,
and they have been raked to a nearly smooth surface.  Set just below the south
edge of the road, a short staircase leads into a large building bearing the 
emblem of the Blood Tribunal.  An intricate fence of polished brass lines the
north edge of the street, the graveyard of Galadon beyond it.  It is possible 
to continue along the Holy Road to both the west and east.

Holy Road
  The Holy Road runs from west to east across the city of Galadon, its only

used to create the mostly smooth street.  There is a large gate made of
polished brass to the north with the words 'The Graveyard' set above them.  In
the west the road ends as it reaches one of the city gates and it also
continues further east towards the park.  A strangely shaped shop looms along
the south side of the road, its windows tinted a blood-red hue.  Posted next
to its entrance is a small notice.

  Bits of crushed gravel form the Holy Road that runs across the northern half
of the city.  The small pieces are two shades of gray, one light and one dark,
and they have been raked to a nearly smooth surface.  Set just below the south
edge of the road, a short staircase leads into a large building bearing the 
emblem of the Blood Tribunal.  An intricate fence of polished brass lines the
north edge of the street, the graveyard of Galadon beyond it.  It is possible 
to continue along the Holy Road to both the west and east.

  Rising along the northern edge of the Holy Road is a large and elaborate fence
formed of polished brass.  Beyond the barricade there is a faint mist and the
familiar aroma of a graveyard.  The street itself is composed of bits of
crushed gravel, bits of it a light gray and others a darker hue.  Although
narrower than some of the other avenues through the city, the Holy Road is
well-maintained with a mostly smooth surface that is free of any weed or
shrub growths.
