Gods fighting over Valguarnera

April 13, 2016 06:41AM
***This is something I witnessed as Ekirhal way back when. I think I posted this back then***
***but I can't remember. Anyway, everything below the dashed lined is how I have it saved***

***--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------***

***I don't think I missed any parts but if I did please fill them in.***
***I had a few questions along the way maybe some of you can answer.***

A bright flash of power lights the sky.

Another flash of power fills the sky for a moment, and then recedes.

Another flash of power fills the sky for a moment. A faint glow of it remains in the sky.

Another flash of power fills the sky for a moment. The sky's glow grows brighter.

Another flash of power fills the sky for a moment. The sky's glow grows to the level of the light, at dusk.

Another flash of power fills the sky for a moment. The sky's glow grows further.

An undead voice resounds through the area. 'Jofneo!'
***Valguarnera, right?***

A Lich's voice resounds through the area. 'Naorin!'
***Valguarnera, right?***

The Lich Valguarnera's voice resounds through the area. 'AFOVIO!'

The glow in the skies dims and becomes eerily dark.

Darker than the night sky itself, the "dark glow" begins to swirl in power.

The swirling of the dark goes faster and faster.

It is clear, from the signs, that dark magical power is involved.

Poetry's clarion voice calls out in fury 'EVEN YOU ARE NOT ABOVE THE SANCTITY OF OUR GODLY KNOWLEDGE, WARDER OF THE UNDERWORLD!'
***What did he do?***

The Dark God Jullias smirks in Poetry's direction.

"I do as I wish, Librarian."

"And what of the Lich? How will Nepenthe recieve your machinations?"

"You have turned one who was Dedicated...a Starcrowned...into your image, that of Deceit!"

"I care little what he, or you, think."

Nepenthe's calm voice rings out: "You have been messing with one of mine, Jullias?"

The Dark God's eyes narrow.

"I tire of this. Both of you, go away and leave me be."

"Surely you can't think I'll just let this be, Jullias. Valguarnera was one of mine."

"And the Book. You have unleashed our knowledge among the mortals!"
***What is this all about?***

The Dark God rolls his eyes.

"Very well...do what you wish, or leave me be. I do not fear you."

Looking at each other, Poetry and Nepenthe nod solemnly.

"You must be punished, no matter your power."

"She's right, Jullias."

Flashes of Godly power light the sky as a battle breaks out.

The Goddess Poetry's fury is unmatched as she fights the Dark God, for the sanctity of her knowledge has been tainted.

Nepenthe fights stolidly and grimly, making no mistakes, as his disciple has also been tainted.

Easily able to crush Poetry alone, the Dark God is nonetheless forced to retreat from the combined force of the two High-Gods.

Suddenly a bellowing voice cries out. 'DISHONORABLE DOGS!'
***Dishonorable because it's two on one?***

Balgrimnr enters the fray...oddly enough...on the side of the Dark God.

"You dishonor yourselves and Jullias in this manner!" the Ehren Lord proclaims.

The combined might of the Dark God and the Ehren Lord is too much, even for Nepenthe and Poetry.

The tide of the battle swiftly changes.

The Dark God deftly ducks low and then drives one of his black serpentine daggers directly into Poetry's midsection.

Channelling his dark power through the dagger, the Dark God dispatches Poetry's energy.

The Goddess falls, clutching her abdomen, as the fight between Balgrimnr and Nepenthe rages.

"Do not make me do this, old friend. Stop this foolishness, and fight your battles with Honor."

"I am sorry, my friend, but I will not stop."

A moaning wind tears across the face of Thera.

As the battle rages, the Dark God sits back and watches, chuckling with amusement.

"I knew that Ehren fellow would come in handy one day."

A shriek of horror echoes throughout the land as Amaranthe spies her fallen Sister.

The Goddess of the Harvest Moon rushes to her fallen Sister's side, and then glances up at the Dark God.

"How could you...even YOU....do this?"

"I will guide her spirit to the afterworld, and then, I will avenge her de-ugk!"

The Imperial God Zulghinlour's axe swiftly decapitates Amaranthe.

The winds slacken. Slowly, the air grows still and silent.

"You won't be avenging anything this Night, I fear, Harvest Goddess."

"No! Not Amaranthe too! I-agck!"

The Ehren Lord's pike drives its way through the gnome-god, as he glances away for a moment.

As the Dark Lords cackle with glee, the Ehren Lord sighs wistfully.

"What goes on here? Imperial Sorceror, you are the cause of this, aren't you?

"Why, Holtzendorff, whatever do you mean?" replies Zulghinlour.

The dwarven lord of Battle declines any further comment and attacks!

"MORE BLOOD MORE BLOOD MORE BLOOOOD!!!!"

Blocking Holtzendorff's attack with one massive hand, Zulghinlour drives his mighty axe into the dwarf's side, fatally wounding him."

Looking around for others to slay on this Unholy Night, Zulghinlour grips his axe hungrily.

"STOP!!! STOP THIS!!!" cries out the voice of a young godling.
***Who is this??***

The gods stop for a moment and look up in confusion.

"Nol? Why should we stop?" someone asks.
***Who asked this??***

"Do you not remember what happened the last time we warred?"

The world was nearly torn asundur. Balance must be preserved.

The Dark God ponders. "You know, he's right...this must stop...but we must have some way to settle our differences."

"Very well. The hostilities between us must stop, until a better way can be found." the Ehren Lord rumbles.

The dark energies continue to swirl above you.

Meanwhile, in all of the chaos above, other Gods have been putting their own plans to work.

After sewing the seeds of chaos within the Arbiters, the Paisley God Ishmael seizes his opportunity to strike.

Making off with the Book of Law, he lights it on fire and dances gleefully around it in a circle, as it burns.

Unfortunately for Ishmael, he fails to notice his own cape burning as well, and is soon engulfed in flames.

"OW! OW! OW! OW!" he cries, as he hops around like a madman.

The dark god Scarabaeus chuckles softly. "That's a damn shame, looks like it hurts."
***I laughed here.***

The Demon Goddess Cyradia cackles. "Burn, baby, burn!"

While the Dark Gods search for large marshmallows, the Goddess of Mercy approaches Ishmael.

"Do you wish me to ease your suffering, Chaos-god?"

"MAKE IT STOP! END ME!"

Striking quickly and mercifully, the Lady of Mercy, Bria, ends Ishmael's pain. And his life.

The Dark Power in the sky continues to swirl ominously.

The Dark God Jullias smiles wickedly and points a finger toward Valguarnera.

"And for you, my precious pawn...a bit of power."

*REBOOT*

*May have missed something here. Not sure.*

As the dark energies continue to swirl, the Tower of the Masters is emptied.
***What's this all about?***

In addition, the Imperial Palace becomes void of life.
***And this???***

The Dark God chuckles amusedly.

"Fear not, my young dark pawns...deliverance will come, when the energies above you complete what is necessary."

***Didn't see anything after this***
