You do realize everyone who cheats (well, maybe not everyone, but 95% of them) uses the same excuse you did?

Now, I'm not saying you cheated, not at all. But dude, it's a set of gear that you can easily get through other, more trackable means. Having to sacrifice it ain't shit.

CF is a rough game. It's not for everyone. It may not be for you (since you waaaaaaaaaaay over-reacted here). To whit, here's some things that have happened to me:

1) I've died to a bug then got full-looted because of it. Just like you, I lost all my gear and died. Instead of an IMM slaying, it was buggy code that was later fixed (which, in my opinion, is worse than what happened to you).

2) I've been full-looted by a player who thought I was an IMM, and he talked about killing me on IRC and fulling me, to the point where other players told him where I ranked/trained. This person is my friend OOC too (we barely knew each other at the time).

3) I've been multi-killed by 2 players because 1 of them disliked me. Lost gear + multiple CON. They were a blantant perma, so much so that the IMMs later called them out on it.

4) I've died to a bug, told the IMMs about the bug, was told by the IMMs "It's not a bug", died to it again, then had Zulg fix the bug.

5) I've had a character horrifically nerfed because a certain IMM didn't like "my attitude". Yep, that happened.

5a) I was prevented from a joining a cabal with said character, because an IMM set a hidden flag of (IDIOT) or whatever on that character. The mortal leader of the cabal tried to induct me, but could not do it. I had to have an IMM then induct me (which never happened...at least Reksah interacted with me though).

6) I've had multiple players character assassinate a character of mine on both forums accusing me of being an IMM or being an IMM friend, when in fact I'm neither. And I'm talking about multiple slanderous posts that nearly caused me to delete my Dio's account (and I love Dio's...I post here waaaaaay too much to ever quit this site).

Edited to add: This is just on CF, by the way. On another MUD I played, I got denied because an IMM thought I was another player who was banned. I got denied again because the IMMs were mad I posted on the forum about them cheating (like, real cheating...not accusations of favoritism). I got full-sac'd by an IMM who literally cheated to full-sac me. I could go on but I'd rather not (this post is actually making me not want to play MUDs to be honest, remembering all the horseshit I've gone through).

I could go on, but CF is a rough fucking game man. Shit happens. It's not always fair. If you can't accept that you could have easily just offered to sac the red-gold dragon equipment and possibly escaped the RoTD with not only your life, but with your gear too, then it's probably going to be waaaaaaaaaaay too tough for you. I mean fuck, wait until you find out about the permas that constantly ROFLstomp your face clean off. Or the griefers who roll a character specifically to fuck with a character of yours because you PK'd them. Etc etc.
