There weren't many (if any) Fort hero's playing at the time. The one really useful healer we had, Illaeth, wasn't playing many hours. Myself, Hunsodin, and Kaiden came up and fought hard to take control back from Empire.
Empire had that Hell-Perma rolling, Shaapa was playing Faldeikso, and Glik was around a lot more. But we came along and shut that shit down. It was a hard-won victory, and you're talking about it as if I just waved my hand and allies popped up like magic. Through diligence, determination, and no small amount of teamwork, we were able to build Fortress into the powerhouse that it became. It wasn't magic. It was 'hard' work. Shout out to Annalaethina, Hunsondin, Unun, and Kritori for being HUGE reasons we were so successful. Others as well, but Marshall's were actively inducting.
To your other point.
No, Garfuka nor Kelkezi ever killed me. You know why? Because I started prepping! Which is what this argument was about all along. I used preps when I was about to fight tough people. And they WERE tough.
