Entrance to the Paladin's Guild 
  Blocks of stone rise tall in this open and expansive entryway to the guild of
Paladins.  There are rows of shelving at the northern edge that are filled
with clothing, foodstuffs, and linens for the beds that spread out along the
south wall.  Everything present is well-built for extended durability but has
a lack of ornamentation and flair, the items meant to serve a purpose not 
boast of a wealth.  Aspiring priests and novice knights come and go attempting
to tend the needs of the masses who lack means.  An archway leads west into
the guild proper and it is possible to return to the High Road in the east.

High Road 
  Built of perfectly smooth white blocks and free of any stain or imperfection,
the High Road of Galadon is pristine.  Towering over the city in the east is
the Spire of the Blood Tribunal, guards coming and going from its courtyard
as their shifts begin and end.  The street continues further north towards the
park and south to the Market Square.  The calls for donations to help the poor
sound from the west, where the guild of Paladins has been established.  There
are volunteers constantly moving about, tending to the needs of the sick and
downtrodden that have huddled within awaiting charity.

High Road 
  There is a lot of foot traffic from the citizens of Galadon along this point
of the High Road with the hard-packed dirt of the Market Square opening to the
south.  At the east edge of the street the entrance of Wilhelm's Wondrous 
Where's can be seen, the heavy scent of aged parchment and ink rolling from 
within.  The entrance of the Garden Bounty sits to the west while the pristine
blocks of white stone lead further north toward the city park.  At the edge of
the street there are large brass posts with lanterns hung from them to keep 
Galadon lit at all hours.

With his tail tucked between his legs, a scraggly dog meaders through the city streets.

Market Square 
  Stretching out in the cardinal directions from this large opening of trampled
dirt are the High and Trade Roads.  Laid out across the outer edge of the
square are booths with many cheap goods from the assorted races of Thera.  It
seems as if the lesser craftsmen of the hubs of a race come to Galadon in an
attempt to peddle their wares to less knowledgeable and wealthier folk.
Closer to the center of the square, you can see small huddles of beggars and
drunkards who attempt and leverage any piece of copper or charity they can
from the masses.

  Powerful aromas carry through the air here, the scents of bread and pastries
blending with the rich smells of smoked meats.  Drawing closer to the Market
Square has led to an increased concentration of people as you near the center
of the city.  The gray stone road continues further in the west, towards the
gate, and transitions into hard-packed dirt as it leads into the Market Square
in the east.  At the southern edge of the road the Gelded Turkey looms while 
The Crumbled Crust Bakery can be seen to the north.

  Bricks of white and gray stone continue to both the east and west as the Trade
Road cuts across the city of Galadon.  The air in this section of the road is 
heavy with arcane energy, seeming to radiate some from the north and heavily 
to the south.  A large building looms along the southern edge of the street 
with a large birch tree growing in the courtyard.  The building to the north 
is made of a strange silvery material and has a slight haze within it.  The 
Trade Road leads closer to the Market Square in the east or towards the gate 
in the west.

  You stand on the main thoroughfare of Galadon, the road connecting the east
gate with the west.  To the north lies Vyni's Vellums, the cities parchment 
shop.  A large gate looms in the west and leads out into the Feanwyyn Weald.
Blocks of gray and white stone have been used to create the road and while
each of pieces varies in size, they all fit together to form a perfectly 
smooth road across the city.  Arguile's Apothecary lies to the south, the
powerful smell of herbs wafting from it, and the Trade Road continues further
to the east.

Inside the West Gate 
  You stand just inside the western gate of Galadon.  The city walls arch
over the gate in their path around the city.  Through the gates to the west
you can see the murky forest of the Feanwyyn Weald.  A small staircase
leads up one side of the gate to the battlements above.  To the east, the
Trade Road leads into the city through all the shops.

An elite guard paces near his gate with staunch resolve and focus.
Standing at attention this elite guard watches the gates of the city.

Outside the West Gate 
  You stand in the small patch of land outside the gates of Galadon that is
still protected by the city guard.  To venture further afield means to lose
the protection of the city.  A trail wanders away to the west, into the wide
forest of the Feanwyyn Weald.  Many a traveler has gotten lost in the
vastness of the forest.  You can enter the city to the east.

The Western Crossroads 
  The crossroads connects the main road with a trail that extends to the north
and south.  A few wary travelers stroll by towards the city to the east.
Lumberjacks drift in both directions, coming and going from the vast forests
to the west.  The road west leads deep into the Feanwyyn Weald,
disappearing among the trees.  The trail north and south extends around the
edge of the city of Galadon, skirting along its border.  The road east leads
into the western gate of Galadon.

  An ancient, crumbling road graces the top of a slight rise here, providing 
you with an unobstructed view of the beautiful expanse of forest that fills 
the horizon to the west.  The glint of the moon and stars off of water 
catches your eye to the southwest where Voralia's Tears bends and snakes 
through the trees, ending its tireless journey in the embrace of a large, 
murky-looking swamp.  The terrain wrinkles and folds to the northwest, 
creating strange shadows that give the impression of a small valley embraced 
between the trees and ending in a shadowy outcropping of rock.  To the west 
the road descends into the darkened Feanwyyn Weald; to the east lanterns 
light the stout walls and battlements that guard the city of Galadon.

opposite direction.  Faint shadows of skeletal branches wave at you in the 
darkness, rustling gently and filling the night air with strange creaking 
sounds.  Sudden crackling and rustling in the blackness to either side of the 
road conjures images of creatures best left to childhood nightmares.  Thin 
tendrils of mist cling faintly to the trees in the darkness, wrapping them 
and you in their chill embrace.

Western Outskirts of Galadon 
  Standing at the outskirts of Galadon, you can see the enormous battlements of
the city to the east.  Tall spires and towers rise high above the wall,
glinting in the bright sun.  The city stretches for miles to the north and
south, one of the largest cities in the realm.  The vast Feanwyyn Weald lies
off to the west, away from the dirt trail.  The forest extends as far north
and south as you can see, truly an enormous forest.  You see a road off to
the southeast, leading out from the city.  The old dirt trail continues
around the edge of Galadon to the north and south.

The Western Crossroads 
  The crossroads connects the main road with a trail that extends to the north
and south.  A few wary travelers stroll by towards the city to the east.
Lumberjacks drift in both directions, coming and going from the vast forests
to the west.  The road west leads deep into the Feanwyyn Weald,
disappearing among the trees.  The trail north and south extends around the
edge of the city of Galadon, skirting along its border.  The road east leads
into the western gate of Galadon.
