A Trail Through the Mountains 
  You are standing on a trail winding up into a pass between two tall mountains.  
The trail is very simple, merely a path of dirt where the grass has been beaten
down by repeated footsteps.  To either side of the trail, large northern pine 
trees rise up, reaching out to shelter the path in an embrace of needle covered 
branches.  There is not much in the way of undergrowth, merely some grass and a
few scattered bushes.  The sides of the two mountains are quite steep, too much 
so to climb easily, even using the trees that rise up out of them for handholds.
The trail itself winds up towards higher elevations to the east, and slopes 
downward to the south.
