[BATTLE] the Destructor: Intruder! Intruder! Sebenso is raiding the Cabal!

The Shrine of the BattleRagers
The path through the village comes to the door of this large structure and
goes no further. It is dim inside, adding to the feeling of presence that
surrounds you as you enter; what little light there is seems somehow
focused on the large throne centered within. At the base of this huge dais
are strewn the skulls of hundreds of defeated mages. Those found just
at the base of the heap are ancient and polished, their ivory giving the
ground a snowy look, while those at the top are less decorative; hair
skin, and mummified, putrefied flesh still clings to the newest additions.
An iron spike protrudes from the ground in front of this potent seat, a
spike that holds the focus of all the barbarians' hatred- the rotted and
decayed head of that first mage to betray those he created. It is here
that one can give praise to the Immortal Warlords of Battle, for it is from
this mighty throne room that each of them leads the courageous BattleRagers.

A massive tablet of stone hangs here.

[Exits: east]
The discolored corpse of Olethros lies here, features twisted with agony.
The severed hands of Olethros lie here.
The sword of a leader lies here.
The floor is spattered with fresh drops of blood.
The corpse of Zraldar lies here, pierced in several places.
The spear of a leader lies here.
(13) A thick side of dried venison is here, ready to be consumed.
A deep pit has been dug here into the ground.
A throne of thatched wood with a base of polished skulls, stands here.
The Destructor of magic is here, daring you to cast a spell.
(White Aura) A healer is here tending to the wounded.

Blood Square
The soft warmth of the sun fills this bloodied and ancient square. The
earth is cracked and the ground is stained, yet this was once the heart
of the village and is marked as such by the blood that reddens the earth.
Barbarian children hardly notice your presence as they wrestle and run in
the square, so intent are they on their war-games and fun. Sparse weeds
grow along the northern edge of this square, becoming denser as you
approach the building that lies in that direction. To the south is a hut
from which plumes of smoke and ash drift into the deep blue skies. To the
west is another hut, secluded from the more traversed portions of this
village and draped with the furs of exotic animals. The path continues
east, leading toward one of the clusters of huts that make up the bulk of
the village.

Before the Pillar of Legends
This intersection serves as the heart of the village, as all travelers
must pass through here. There is no vegetation here, nor any need for
careful steps, as the ground is solid rock; the better to hold the massive
pillar that stands before you. There is a strange absence of sound as this
awesome sight rises from the earth before you, and a feeling of reverence
and awe in the way folks treat it as they pass. To the north, sparse
vegetation grows thicker as the ground slopes toward a vale. To the south a
small path of cluttered stones mark the way to Grime's forge. Dark patches
of earth lead away from the inner portion of the village to the east, and
to the west is a large clearing containing a number of barbarians. Here at
the pillar, though, there is a feeling of company, as though all those who
died in the war against magic were present with you.

[Exits: north east south west]
A simple ring of opal lies here.
Sunlight glints off a small turquoise ring here upon the ground.
A towering pillar of stone stands here, casting its shadow down upon you.
Sebenso the minotaur is resting here.

Before you stands a tower of dense fur and twisting, hateful sinew. Wicked
horns jut angrily out from the forehead of this creature for a full cubit,
then abruptly twist toward the sky. At the skyward end, the horns are a dull
point. At their base, the horns seem to touch under the creatures skin and
give the illusion that they are all one massive piece. Beneath the horns and
thick forehead are thick eyebrows drawn angrily down. Red eyes, like pools of
fire, glare from beneath and seem to search for what they may burn. Its nose
is wide, flat and prodigious nostrils flare at its bottom. The remainder of
this minotaur's face is all jaw and sneer. It has no neck - the fearsome,
horned head of this beast seems to sit directly atop a massive pair of
shoulders. Sebenso's prominent pectoral muscles, thick arms, tree-trunk-like
legs and bulging gut are having a contest to see which can tear through his
clothing first. It looks like the gut is winning.
Sebenso, a male minotaur, is writhing in agony.

Sebenso scans west.

You say 'So it ends.'

Sebenso sits down and rests.

Sebenso says 'Dammnn.'

You say 'You were the lucky one, this time.'

**We had a ton of fights that could have gone either way**

Sebenso sticks out a massive hand.

Sebenso says 'Yoou were de vinnethd oov vooeth.'

Sebenso sits down and rests.

You say 'The space between heartbeats, again,.'

Sebenso grins evilly.

Sebenso says 'Dith dimme, id wath ennoough.'

You say 'Yes, just.'

You say 'I should have stayed with the swords.'

Sebenso nods his massive horned head.

Zraldar has arrived.

Zraldar bows before you.

With nothing better to say, you grunt something vague.

Zraldar says 'Least ya got to go out with a win'

Sebenso nods his massive horned head.

You say 'Hmm.'

Zraldar goes to sleep.

Sebenso says 'Yeth. Yoou levd wid blooood oonn yoour cleaher.'

You say 'As if there were any other way.'

Sebenso says 'Yoou coould hahe juthd died.'

Sebenso grumbles and growls. You wonder what's wrong...

Sebenso says 'Looook ad Zraldar. He'th dithdraughd.'

Making a "tsk" noise, Sebenso wags his finger at you.

You say 'Get ye gone from the village, let the Destructor have his victory as well.'

You say 'Symbolic though it may be, for the moment.'

Sebenso stands up.

Sebenso scans west.

Sebenso sniggers maliciously. Uh oh.

Sebenso says 'Well.'

You say 'I will go and say goodbye to Rarywey.'

Sebenso says 'Doo yoou wannd de bloooodooad?'

You curl your face into a sneer.

Sebenso says 'She doold yoou nnood doo jooinn dith Hillage.'

Sebenso says 'Well.'

You say 'Placed in the river of time when I was brought into this world.'

Sebenso sniggers maliciously. Uh oh.

Sebenso says 'Ad leathd dere ith dad.'

Sebenso rises to his full height.

Sebenso clasps your shoulder.

Sebenso says 'Well vooughd. Goo de wooood-elv.'

You say 'Do me this honor, and leave the village for now then.'

You tell Rarywey 'I'd like to say goodby to you both.'

You tell Rarywey 'I don't think I have much longer, so if you can meet me in the Eternal Library,
that would be most fitting I think.'

**Bastards**

Rarywey tells you 'We are coming.'

Cedany tells you 'Are you okay?'

You tell Cedany 'Yes, everything is as it was foretold to be.'

You tell Cedany 'But I will no longer float down the river of time, for my time is at an end.'

Cedany tells you 'What do you mean? There is no foretelling, kin. You know we make our own lives.'
Cedany tells you 'No, no it isn't.'

You tell Cedany 'Oh, in this mortal form at least, it is.'

Cedany tells you 'No.'

Cedany tells you 'Olethros, why?'

Cedany tells you 'I was just speaking of how you have never faltered, how you were so steadfast...'

You tell Cedany 'I made my final stand at the village throne, and took one of my enemies with me,
nearly both.'

Cedany tells you 'Will you not pray to the divine for aid?'

You tell Cedany 'I am beyond their aid.'

Cedany tells you 'You cannot allow them to bear you like this.'

Cedany tells you 'Then I will pray on your behalf.'

Cedany tells you 'Perhaps they can take some of my vitality and lend it to you.'

You tell Cedany 'Worry not Cedany, mine was the life of a warrior, and such is our end.'

Cedany tells you 'Or more than some.'

Cedany tells you 'I will worry.'

Cedany tells you 'Where are you?'

**They make it to the Library, but can't see me, cause I'm a ghost**

Rarywey yells 'Olethros?'

Cedany tells you 'Where did you go?'

Rarywey yells 'Vegetable Mead?!'
**World's dumbest nickname, haha**

A single etched glass door opens.

Rarywey has arrived.

Cedany says 'No.'

Cedany says 'No no no.'

Cedany looks at you.

You say 'Yes.'

Cedany says 'I will simply pray.'

Rarywey sings 'For the source of my prosperity
Is something beyond measure;
Around me always are my friends,
And they're my greatest treasure.

You feel confident and charismatic.

Cedany nods to herself.

Cedany sits down on the ground.

Rarywey says 'The items, they were gathered, oh gods how could it be too late.'

Rarywey hugs you.

You say 'The washcloth.'

You smile happily.

You say 'I decided to look for the right now.'

You say 'One, rather.'

The sun sets below the horizon.

Rarywey sinks visibly.

Rarywey whispers 'Oh no.'

Cedany tears up.

You say 'I did come back, but my lady was elsewhere.'

Cedany says 'it isn't fair. It isn't okay.'

Cedany looks at you.

You say 'Do not shed tears, Cedany. A warrior could not ask for a better end, if an end he must
have.'

Rarywey sits down on the ground.

Cedany stands up.

Cedany closes her eyes for a moment and nods at you.

Cedany sighs.

You say 'A shame I won't finish my writings.'

Cedany says 'Maybe it isn't too late...'

Cedany says to Rarywey 'You remember...'

Rarywey says 'A scribbling spirit...'

Cedany says 'When we spoke of the costs one could give...'

Cedany says 'Of what Gristal gave.'

Rarywey says to you 'Would you like one of us to perform your rites?'

Cedany digs her fingers into the dirt.

You say 'If you wish, my body fell away into the bloodied grounds of the village.'

Rarywey says to Cedany 'It is too late for that, and you know it.'

You say 'Sing songs of victory, sing songs of honor.'

You say to Cedany 'Remember our talk, and be like the rain.'

Rarywey grabs Cedany by the shoulders and gives her a hard shake.

Rarywey says to Cedany 'Pull together. Sit with Olethros. It is his time.'

Cedany sobs and walks over to sit by Olethros.

Cedany sits down on the ground.

The sun rises above the horizon.

Rarywey smiles happily.

You say 'Death is but part of the cycle, we are all destined for it.'

You say 'Cry not, worry not, simply be appreciative of the time we had, the time YOU have left.'

Cedany remains silent.

Rarywey says 'If you'll permit.'

Cedany looks at you.

You say to Rarywey 'Of course, they are, in a way my people as well.'

Rarywey sings 'I gird myself against my foes
My inner strength and passion grows
Don't underestimate the poet's prose
To lessen even the strongest blows.'

Rarywey sings 'O Lady great, in knowledge wise
Look now to me with softened eyes
And bless me with your gentle touch
That soft caress that means so much.'

Rarywey says 'The mortal soul is a drop in a great cosmic river, destined to splash away for a time,
and plummet in again to rejoin the eddies.'

Cedany tells you 'I would journey to Darsylon and talk to your family, if you wish it. Is there
anything you wish me to tell them? '

Rarywey sings 'Hear my sweet voice, thy clarion's call
Hear my sweet voice, that n'er shall you fall
Hear my sweet voice, a knell clearly rung
Singing of heroes yet to be sung!'

Rarywey says 'It is the greatest kindness one can find, after life. To rejoin with all the spirits
of those who've lived before.'

You tell Cedany 'My father is likely in Voralia, although he may be in Darsylon. He will have heard
of my passing. Let him know I upheld my oath, and forever, the Oleuni name will be written as a
Drillmaster in the noble village.'

Cedany wipes some tears away from her cheeks.

Rarywey says 'All the pains of this life will be washed away. You will be embraced by those whom
have loved you.'

Rarywey says 'Those who are there already, those who are to come.'

Cedany tells you 'I shall. I will tell him and offer him a painting of you as a saw you. Dauntless
and powerful. I am so so sorry.'

Rarywey says 'And perhaps someday, splash up once more to glisten in the moonlight.'

You smile at Cedany.

Cedany looks at Rarywey.

You are losing your grip on this plane.
Cedany says to Rarywey 'You bring such beauty to this moment. You are right, I think...'

Cedany trails off, her hands trembling.

You thank Rarywey heartily.

Rarywey says 'Death is a fearful thing. I would not want my dear Vegetable Mead to fret.'

You say 'It is nearly time.'

You laugh heartily.

You are losing your grip on this plane.

You say 'Fret?'

You say 'Fear?'

You say 'Never.'

Rarywey winks suggestively at you.

Rarywey says 'No, not you.'

You say 'I am a Battlerager.'

You are losing your grip on this plane.

Cedany smiles at you.

Cedany says 'And my favorite among them, by far.'

You say 'We fear no man, no beast, and suffer no treasonous wizards.'

You are losing your grip on this plane.

You are losing your grip on this plane.

You say 'May you find focus in all your endeavors my friends, be courageous.'

Cedany grabs her journal with trembling, dirt-stained hands and takes note of this.

Rarywey says 'Aha, your bravado follows you into the afterworld.'

Rarywey smiles at you.

You are losing your grip on this plane.

Rarywey sings 'Hear my sweet voice, thy clarion's call
Hear my sweet voice, that n'er shall you fall
Hear my sweet voice, a knell clearly rung
Singing of heroes yet to be sung!'

You say to Rarywey 'Was their ever any doubt?'

Rarywey sings 'Let my kisses be your visor,
Let my arms be your shield,
Let my whispers be your guidance
And my love the sword you wield.'

Rarywey says to you 'Not a drop.'

You say 'Oh, and don't forget to come and feed the cooshee pups.'

These beautiful reddish-orange azaleas are now camouflaged as the shrub is
only revealed painted in torchlight. Their delicate, sweet fragrance still
manages to find it's way to you. There is a dark patch near the bottom of
the shrub.

Cedany says 'I will not.'

You say 'Under the azalea shrub.'

You say 'They seem to like Grime's venison.'

You are losing your grip on this plane.

Cedany nods, glancing over to the shrub with a sad smile.

Cedany says 'They will miss you. I will too.'

Rarywey nods solemnly.

Your form dissolves and you find yourself in Heaven.
To use this name again, you must talk to an implementor.
