Before a Small, Unassuming Building in the Trees 
  You are standing on a platform nestled high in the branches of a mighty
Ironwood Tree.  In front of you is a small, nondescript building, 
its weight supported by several gigantic boughs of the great tree.  
From the outside, it appears similar to all the homes built by the elves
among the treetops.  However, from within the structure, a cheerful
melody emerges, followed by the faint smell of alcohol.  The entrance 
to the building lies to the south, while a ladder leads back to a lower
platform.

The Meeting Place of the Bards 
  The drab exterior of this place conceals a warm, cheery atmosphere
inside.  The place is small, yet has been comfortably furnished, 
with several cushioned chairs and sofas arrayed about the room, 
opposite an adequately sized, if well-stocked, bar.  Something about
the bar seems slightly odd.  Looking closely, you realized that the
bar itself, and the stools before it, are actually growing right out
of the floor!  This entire 'building' was not built in the human 
manner, but is a living part of the Ironwood Tree, coaxed into the 
shape of the building by Elven Priests.  On the mantle along the 
south wall, various instruments of great artistic quality have been 
reverently mounted.  The exit to the guild lies to your north.

to a higher platform above you.
