That's not to say he played risky throughout the char's lifetime, just that this one fight was probably the riskiest one he'd ever taken.
At this moment he went all-in to land a kill, and if he did land the kill he'd have got out without too much harm:
civilized <660hp 194m 1079mv 24350tnl (Haste) 3 AM> flur
You start a vicious series of attacks with your swords.
Reynellan partially parries your attack, but you still get through.
Sensing the stench of human blood, a long sword named 'HumanSunder' slashes hungrily at Reynellan!
Your flurry DISMEMBERS Reynellan!
Your flurry misses Reynellan.
Your flurry DISMEMBERS Reynellan!
I think the correct kill sequence for Fort was:
1. ReyRey flees and returns, sitting out of combat entirely but letting his elem/angel stay in. Cast dispel or faerie fire from outside combat but don't engage.
2. Karnix flees and focuses entirely on healing (essence of charity OP!). With layhands and spam healing nobody should die to Droggy.
3. Draulvar and Horrindyr stay in. During the flurry lag, strike of faith + wrath, then strike of faith. Shield bash right before flurry lag ends. Final strike of faith should end him.
There's no anti-gank code for 2v1 engagement. So Draulvar and Horrindyr should land all their stuff just fine. Avenger strike of faith is one of the highest dps direct damage skills in the game and I think a decked avenger with wrath weapons can knock off 200+ hp from a prepped Drogathar every single time they cast it.
