preventing the path from traveling in a straight line. Stone cast off from the
mountainside both large and small litters the path, the edges softened by the
layer of gray sludge and ash that covers them. Across from the mountain a plain
of swirling ash extends into the darkness, marking where life once grew.

of a narrow path coated with a thick gray sludge. Surrounded by an oppressive
darkness, fine ash swirls through the chill, adding to an already depressing
atmosphere. Barely seen through the curtain of ash and darkness, a broken dome
rises from a plain of sludge and ash, its mangled archway facing the path.

collapsing dome. Throughout the mess shards of dull glass and twisted metal lie
in pieces, all destroyed beyond recognition of what they once were. Sections of
the walls have fallen free from the large structure, adding to the surrounding
clutter, as well as leaving the large domed ceiling supported by the remains of
heavily gouged stone. Through a large archway in what remains of the northern
wall you can just make out the edge of a narrow path before it is swallowed into
