When fighting shaman that are dispelling (and not having the faith virtue), it didn't make sense to put up sanc. I normally just put up protection, and you can use haven too if he stops bothering to dispel (since he may not notice haven is up).

Putting up sanc pretty much just throws mana away, imho, since shaman dispel works so well.
