Of course he's going to parry the shit out of daggers, and what he doesn't parry he'll dodge with tactics.

There's a log above this one that has an axe outmeleeing him decently. Something to keep in mind.

Though I won't argue- an imperial bard generally defends insanely well. I'm just sayin'.
