  These fields lay in ruins, trampled by the massive boots of the armies that
wage war here.  The cries of the still living can be heard in the distance, 
most for mercy, some for help.  Clots of blood can be seen along the blades
of grass that spring up from the ground, mangled bodies and discarded armor
serving as the vegetation.  Long lines of trees can be seen along the north
edge of the fields and a ravine toward the ridge to the west.  Black clouds
serve as an eclipsing detriment to the defenders and attackers alike, an
omen to the carnage that occurs here.

  Great gates of iron mark the entrance here to the city streets.  This
is the flank end of the city, where the merchants and often allies of 
these looming giants enter the city streets in comfort.  Guards walk 
the ramparts and you can easily note the glares you get upon entering.
There is a lack of wood on these buildings, much of which are solid stone 
that make the foundation of this stronghold.  Great spires reach into
the air toward the east, shadowing you as well as most of this narrow
street.  You note the sounds of pain that are coming from deeper along
the street.  There are also cries of hatred and anger that come from 
some of the nearby shops and alleys.  These streets were aptly named,
as anguish seems to be the only emotion in the air.

An Open Clearing in the Slaughtering Grounds
  The grounds here are caked with blood and unrecognizable gore.  Skeletal 
remains of defeated foes and enslaved servants remain fettered along the
grounds and walls here.  Multiple cracks line the walls here, though 
judging by the exceptional masonry, dwarves likely built much of this
stronghold.  The smell of burning flesh and rotted and diseased corpses
is almost overwhelming.  Much of the torture and executions must have 
occured in this area of the city.  Dark shrubbery and bloodied brush is
to the north of these grounds, apparently going into the woods where 
nothing seems to stir.

Far Above a Tranquil Grove
  The air rushing under your wings is cold and crisp.  You slow
