Been getting cold out, so I have been thinking more and more about cf.  Here's a log from my last char, a low lvl tra that I was messing around with briefly in the spring/summer.  Of course, I knew he was there, so I was ready to fight.

A Makeshift Mess Hall
  Like the tents, the hut appears to be framed from that of wooden poles and bone
lashed together by strips of leather.  Covering this frame appears to be a
thick canvas which has been lined with furs and pelts of animals.  Though
unlike that of the tents, these huts appear to be much taller and bigger as
there are a few wooden tables within the hall.  There is a small fire pit to
the north, while there is a flap leading into the kitchens towards the east.
There is an unusual smell within the hall, as you have the smell of fresh food
coming from the kitchen and that of the old stale food that was spilt upon the
dirt floor.

A Small Dirt Road Covered With Snow
  Unlike the cold snow trails of the tundra, the road before your feet appears
to be made of dirt with flecks of newly fallen snow covering it.  Near the
edges of the road where it joins up with the snow banks, the dirt has become
mud frozen over by the cold winds.  Unlike the smell of smoke that lingers
through most of the village, one can now smell that of food coming from the
north.
