Aliases really aren't much different. Both things input commands that would otherwise be harder to type out fully. In fact, triggers are worse for the trigger-user because if I know you use triggers I can abuse the fuck out of that (different ways; lowbie emoting has fled while he fights someone else; rolling a sneaking character that abuses their build; always disarming; etc).
The way I see it, you're never going to truly be the character you want to be (we all have hopes of going 100-0 with the sick set, tattoo, gear, etc) so fretting over mispelling and reaction speed isn't worth your time.
I play bare bones minimum Pueblo and have died countless times because of mispelling names, spells, etc. Would I play a pimped out Dwoggurd CMUD and have a ton of fun? Yeah, and I'd honestly probably be a lot tougher pk character. But do I have fun now? Yeah, so what's the point getting all upset.
