The Breaching of the Walls of the Ostalagiah Ruins 
  You climb atop the pile of rubble and ash which once stood as the
western wall of Ostalagiah.  It served its purpose well, but not well 
enough.  It now stands in ruins, smoldering remains of what was once a
mighty city.  After many years of war the united fronts finally destroyed
the wall, through which a flood of dwarven, elven and human soldiers came. 
After freeing the slaves, ransacking the city and turning the walls to
rubble, the united front turned around and headed back to their respective
homelands to the north.  While that ancient war is over, the sight of 
distant burning fires and a village settled to the west of here gives one
reason to believe that it is not the only war that occurs throughout these
ruined buildings.

  You come to the southern face of the coliseum, pushing your way past
the remnants of stone and under the crumbling archways that serve
as the entrance toward the arena.  Crumbling stone stairs spiral
upwards, treacherous walkways that lead toward the seats of the
coliseum.  Long corridors shadowed by the ruins of this arena stretch
east and west.  To the north is a rusted iron gate, the entrance to
the empty arena of Ostalagiah.

streams across the cobblestone and into gutters along the road.  The smell
of death fills the air as the humidity causes the stench to overwhelm you
tenfold.  Weeds and roots have penetrated the stone walkways, reaching up
for some warmth from the sun.  However, this warmth will never come, as an
ominous storm cloud seems to hover here, above these ruins.  Great pillars
of stone serve as walls that have crumbled through the ages.  Small broken
and bent shops are ruined along this road.  Some form of feces lay upon 
these streets, with flies and worms infesting the filth by swarming all over
it.  You can continue on these streets to the west and south or head north
through a pile of rubble.
