1. There are probably 3 or 4 people on the entire imm staff who touch the code and probably fewer who have touched this code. The odds that you were talking to an implementer were roughly zero. You were talking to an imm who is trying to have fun playing the game just like you.

2. This game has always been a work in progress. Constant change and improvement is a source of imperfection, but this is a good thing. By coincidence or by my suggestion, I've seen some of my ideas make their way into the game. How many games can you post an idea on a forum and see it in play someday? Kinda makes me feel like this is MY game. I'm sure plenty of people feel the same. You can change the game if you want, but personally, I wouldn't waste a second on gear code.

3. Unless you have a full set of legendary gear, your EQ won't help you too much. If you do have a full set of legendary, it still doesn't mean shit. You sound really pissed, but this is just a game. Expect to die. Expect to lose everything. In fact, the best thing you can do is embrace it. Accepting this makes the game more fun. Resisting it is stressful.
