Kind of lame. But they are Scion (evil). The Hapholln was naked as well by the amount he was able to gather. Not the best plan to stand around when evil Scions are out hunting.

There are two ways to look at the situation. 1) Gather some gear and extract revenge. (Which shouldnt be overly hard given that the shifters in question are by no means powerhouses.) or 2) Stop playing and give up. (Which will give them even less of an enemy base, leading to boredom and deletion when they tire of playing a text base game with 15-20 people)

You will get more satisfaction from 1) and rising above the pettiness. Unfortunately most of the people left playing CF are classless. Hence the low playerbase and dwindling Imm support.
