I half-expected the trap, but prepped for Throkman, hence me removing the blue cap, which had -10 mental. I could have enlivened resolve (-19 mental) or savage instincts (sleep immunity) but went with resilience of hyena. Again, was thinking, worst case its a trap I'll just deafen -- bad thinking.

I did c word; shapeshift howler -- wanted to be ready to deafen, and wasn't worried about being slept - what could a bard do to me - i'll deafen them!

Yeah, that would have been smart, oh well

-- Here you should probably have reverted, fled, teleported (using a potion if you didn't have the spell perfected), then tried to re-up resist mental (since Audrelle would -- have dispelled it if you'd had it up initially) and shifted back into form to fight the fiend.
Yeah, I was thinking at first I could still deafen her, deal with the fiend, and smash her down. That quickly proved not the case, fear song was good tactic and made it hard to redirect.
-- Also- after this, I would have sicced the entire Fortress on Audrelle.
Hah, turned out she was already on all their shit lists. I wasn't in fort yet, so couldn't CB about her before I went (or for help).
