The Life-Taker's Corner
A restless feeling swims through here. Eyes shift about from the shadows and
other unseen planes, constantly watching the movements of the living. Instead
of gold and gems exchanging hands at the gambling table, the stakes have risen
to much more perilous claims; no friend or loved one is safe, nor their souls.
Every known kind of game is played here, life and afterlife being the prize
most seek to win. One table roars with victory and others echo with weeping
and cries of torment. Inn guards watch closely, making sure nobody gets too
far out of hand. Colorful cards fly across tables, and wheels whirl and spin.
Black magi and liches cling to and keep close care of those who seem to be
doing poorly. In the eastern wall stands a finely carved door with a drake's
head etched on it.
