Dispelling flight is not just useful for yourself, but useful for allies.

I've seen more than one silverback gorilla shifter throw away an easy kill because he decided to punch first instead of dispel first.

Angron vs Oshui

LogFiend 668 December 30, 2012 11:12AM

This a pk stat padding kill? Why is an elite blade fighting oshui out of form? Seems like something oshui would suggest after already killing previously. (n/t)

funnyone 181 December 31, 2012 03:13AM

Probably

sez 281 December 31, 2012 05:44AM

Does Oshui ever use Dire Wolf anymore? If not, well, then Jack Blaguar is too strong a reward. NT

Sam 203 December 30, 2012 02:11PM

Dire wolf sucks. I never used it on my last offensive shifter. (n/t)

tesline 179 December 30, 2012 02:13PM

You're a horrible player if you think that. Dire Wolf is a great offensive form. Has limited pounce, great 1 round lag bite, trip!!!!!, tendonslash, and is pretty damn tanky for an offensive form. NT

Sam 191 December 30, 2012 03:03PM

And it cannot be distorted by bards. WIN (n/t)

Demtok 188 December 30, 2012 07:04PM

It's also immune_cranial

Mek 375 December 30, 2012 08:47PM

I think that came out wrong. Did you mean "bad" offensive form, rather than great? (n/t)

vortexmagus 171 December 30, 2012 05:26PM

I've had dire wolf several times I still don't like it. It is in my bottom five of all forms to have. (n/t)

tesline 190 December 30, 2012 03:18PM

I think you're doing it wrong. Trip is huge, especially on a character with DISPEL MAGIC.

vortexmagus 252 December 30, 2012 02:17PM

I had the silverback gorrila. Makes the dire wolf look like a brass bitch. (n/t)

tesline 174 December 30, 2012 02:46PM

Not really. Wolf would shine is some situations Gorilla wouldn't. FWIW I think Offensive forms are the most balanced in terms of power. I would be happy with all the forms in most situations. NT

Sam 184 December 30, 2012 03:16PM

I like an all around useful form. Dire wolf is a good outlander form but otherwise I don't find much use for it. (n/t)

tesline 188 December 30, 2012 03:19PM

Eh. Maybe if it came w/ cheapshot. Otherwise flee;c fly. nt

Isildur(VIP) 181 December 30, 2012 02:33PM

Dire Wolf has pounce dude...whatever, n00bs. Keep being stupid. NT

Sam 186 December 30, 2012 03:02PM

everywhere? also, you're not dire wolf if you're casting dispel magic. nt

Isildur(VIP) 186 December 30, 2012 07:33PM

So? Your skillset includes both dispel and trip if you have dire wolf. nt

Splntrd 173 December 31, 2012 04:31AM

Lemur is the best form ever. you just need to stay unshifted and zap with wands. its great! (n/t)

Artificial 185 December 30, 2012 09:25PM

and you can revert and dispel it again. And if you've got a competent ally there's no fleeing from you two... (n/t)

vortexmagus 178 December 30, 2012 02:49PM

Which you don't have to do with the silverback so why use the dire wolf when there are better forms? (n/t)

tesline 173 December 30, 2012 02:52PM

Dispelling flight is not just useful for yourself, but useful for allies.

vortexmagus 211 December 30, 2012 05:18PM

How does that beat using pounce? n/t

Jerrokrar 185 December 30, 2012 02:51PM

any non-rager can avoid pounce simply by wording or holding the orb of travel.

vortexmagus 214 December 30, 2012 05:16PM

Out of my 45 pks with Reksah, 30 or so were non-rager. Maybe 2-3 times orb of travel was used.

Jerrokrar 243 December 30, 2012 06:55PM

I almost made outlander shapeshifter who never shapeshifts.

shaapa 344 December 30, 2012 12:25PM

I laughed pretty good at that one. (n/t)
