The further the hunt moves to chase you, the slower it tracks. The first 4 rooms might have it hot on your ass or even catching you every room, but if you can get some distance in it slows down considerably.

Best advice in this log is to avoid that fight completely. You were at half health in their terrain with the hunt on you. Even if you killed the hunt the druid still had your number. IIRC the hunt timer that prevents transportation doesn't die out when the hunt does, but I could very well be wrong.

Either way you might have made it on foot. You were dead when you decided to stay.
